Over the past ten years we have used this site to recommend our favorite books on ADHD to our readers at the ADHD Information Library, whether to parents, or teachers, or clinicians. We have just recently re-edited the lists, and have dropped some titles that were classics "back in the day," and have replaced them with more recent titles. Some of the 100 or so books on our lists we really like, and some we just see as helpful resources - but any given title may be just what you need for your situation! So take your time and browse through our various categories to find the best books for you. Take your time to find just the right books!
In order for you to receive the best service and security available, we have chosen to provide our book selections in cooperation with Amazon.com, the largest bookseller in the world. All the titles are there, they ship out quickly, and they provide good customer service.
If you have titles that you highly recommend, please feel free to leave comments for others to learn from!

These books are from our original list of great ADHD books for parents, teachers, or clinicians. The list is now over 10 years old, but many of these books are still so good that they are worth getting and reading. Many of these were the first works of authors like Hallowell, Ratey, Amen, Silver, Goldstein, Barkley, and Bonnet - excellent researchers, writers, and doctors all. Part of what makes this list interesting is that each of these writers has a different perspective on ADHD, treatment options, causes, and so on. Some of the writers are in private practice working with patients, some are researchers (in some cases funded by pharmaceutical companies), and some are mostly authors at this point. But each says something that has made a big contribution to the understanding of ADHD.
